Hi, I’m Donovan!
I am Baltimore based photographer with a love for telling people’s stories. My career was born out of documenting my familes and church services, then clients capturing moments and memories that last a lifetime. Regardless of how gorgeous the images turn out, you’re going to remember how you felt in those moments. So let’s plan on nothing but good memories. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful images. I am also a radiation therapist, I am on the frontline of fighting cancer and helping patients and families through their treatment, healing and recovery.

Welcome to Donovan Brown Photography! My journey into the world of photography began in the vibrant and picturesque landscapes of Jamaica, where I first discovered my passion for capturing moments with a humble Sony Ericsson phone. Today, as a professional photographer based in the DMV area, I continue to pursue this passion with state-of-the-art Sony equipment, specializing in portrait, engagement, wedding, and lifestyle photography.
Photography is more than just a profession for me—it's a passion that drives me to create meaningful and memorable images. Whether I'm capturing the joy of an engagement, the love shared on a wedding day, or the unique personality of an individual during a portrait session, my goal is to tell a story through my lens. Each session is an opportunity to connect with my clients and create images that reflect their true selves.

Donovan’s service is second to none! I made a last minute decision to have a 40th birthday photo shoot. Donovan made time in his schedule to make this happen for me, and the pictures were flawless! He met me on location, on time!! (which is very important to me), provided direction, and made it easy. When my 2-month old daughter decided to cry uncontrollably during the session, Donovan didn’t break a sweat! He used my breaks with her to identify areas with even better lighting, and he even kept shooting - capturing still life photos of me and my daughter that we’ll never forget.
